STEPS

STEP 1: REMOVE CLIP & PREP YOUR SURFACE

Prep is important for any project. Sand with 220 Grit Sand paper to prep your pen. wipe clean with a damp paper towel.

STEP 2: ADD BASE COAT

I prefer spray paint as the base coat to my pens. Make sure you let it dry 48 hours before you add any CrystaLac products. If you don’t want to wait that long, use the Universal White for your base coat!

STEP 3: ADD GLITTER

Brush on your glitter glue with a foam brush. Make sure you even it out so there are no peaks and valleys. Then sprinkle on your glitter!

Let Dry 2 hours.

Apply a second coat if needed. Brush or spray on glitter glue, add glitter, and Let that dry 2 hours.

STEP 4: SEAL & FLATTEN GLITTER

Apply a coat of Glitter Glue over the top and let dry for 2 hours. After that two hours is up, flatten the glitter by rolling the pen in parchment paper.

STEP 5: LAYER BRITE TONE

Now you’re ready for your BT layers! Apply 4-5 coats of Brite Tone letting each coat dry for 4 hours.

After you do 5 coats of BT, let it dry over night. Then do a light sand with 400 grit sand paper.

Continue adding coats of BT (sanding every 3 coats) until you have a smooth surface.

STEP 6: APPLY DECAL

You can add a decal whenever your surface is completely smooth! You can use vinyl, waterslide decals, temporary tattoos, etc.

STEP 7: LAYER BRITE TONE

Apply 3-4 coats of Brite Tone letting each coat dry for 4 hours.

After you do 3-4 coats of BT, let it dry over night. Then do a light sand with 400 grit sand paper ONLY OVER THE VINYL. then follow up with a few more coats of BT until you are happy with how it looks!

STEP 8: WAIT IT OUT

Let your pen dry for 5 days before you start using it or ship it to a customer!
